The first BOXPARK site outside of London!

The Brief

We were appointed by BOXPARK to ensure the brand’s venture into Liverpool was as successful as possible. BOXPARK needed PR support for early announcements such as the planning permission, trader call out, as well as stakeholder engagement and a launch night for the books!

Our Response

At the beginning of the campaign back in 2022, Carousel introduced the BOXPARK team to key stakeholders in the city. Carousel also confirmed meetings for BOXPARK’s CEO Simon Champion with former Mayor of Liverpool Joanne Anderson and current Metro Mayor Steve Rotherham.

In the lead up to the launch of BOXPARK Liverpool, Carousel also ran a hardworking press office including ongoing media relations with regional and national press.

Press releases were drafted and issued for each phase including:
- First launch announcement

- Planning permission

- Trader Call Out

- Opening Date announcement

- Trader Reveal

- Events Programme

- Launch Weekend

We were also tasked in supporting and organizing BOXPARK Liverpool’s VIP launch night which saw the team curate a night to remember with big name artists such as Rebecca Ferguson and entertainment from Femme Fatal, as well as food and drink supplied from BOXPARK Liverpool’s vendors.

The Results

On the night of launch, the team managed a 500+ people guestlist and attended the launch event as well as confirming and managing Rebecca Ferguson and her team for the press launch.

Carousel’s hardworking press office resulted in significant volumes of coverage for each announcement issued to press. From securing multiple exclusives with the Liverpool Echo, through to interviews for BOXPARK CEO Simon Champion, with BBC Radio Merseyside, as well as national results secured across BBC News, The Guardian, Daily Express and CN Traveller, the coverage was widespread and generated huge awareness for the brand.
