The team travelled to New York this week to check out NY Sound City, the US edition of Liverpool Sound City.
The third New York Sound City conference featured a daytime programme that focused on themes such as “Grime: Ten Years Later”, “What Brands Want” and a roundtable discussion between industry representatives and delegates. Speakers included English rapper and all-round Grime veteran Skepta and esteemed journalist Hattie Collins.
The day culminated in a number of live performances at the legendary Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. Highlights included Blue Foundation, PINS and Drenge, as well as Ian Prowse who is also performing at the Liverpool event in May.
