As festival season kicks off this month, we’ve been busy launching a new initiative designed to help festival goers have the best and safest experience possible.
Festival Safe, the brainchild of festival director Jon Drape, is an initiative supported by festival organisers, industry professionals and the emergency services.
With the aim of providing vital information for both first-time and regular festival goers, the non-profit initiative looks to fill the gap of advice readily available to all. From packing wellies and what tent to buy, to the services offered at welfare and drug use, all bases have been covered.
To kick off festivalsafe.com we took to Parklife, one of the largest festivals in the UK, to capture video content for the consumer launch. With a five-strong camera crew and a brave presenter, we got amongst the 80,000 festival goers and artists to seek out the best festival stories we could find.
Content captured has been turned into a two-minute video to support the press communication and several 15 second clips for use on social media. Fulfilling the brief, the content looks to position Festival Safe as an understanding authority, with a genuine hope to help as many people as possible across the summer.
