With Christmas just around the corner and the ensuing busy shopping trips set to begin, The Light in Leeds has launched the ultimate chill-out bar for shoppers to relax and enjoy during the lead up to the big day.
The Alpine Lodge, which began its two week residency at The Light on Black Friday, will offer shoppers a cosy, seasonal retreat in the centre’s courtyard.
Shoppers can take a break from tackling the crowds and recharge their batteries during the Christmas season with some festive fare & warming drinks from 11am, moving onto a stronger tipple in the evening. Tiger Tiger will be running the Lodge between 27 November to 4 December and Fire Lake Cocktail Bar from the 5 to 11 December, opening from 4pm.
Visitors will also be able to get fully into the Christmas spirit with a host of festive entertainment, including brass bands, orchestras, choirs, operatic performances and much more.
During Black Friday weekend, The Light literally came to the rescue of shoppers who wanted to call it time on their Black Friday purchasing with a Christmas Rescue Squad.
Anyone shopping in Leeds City Centre on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 November could tweet #ChristmasRescueSquad and tag @TheLightLeeds for their chance of being picked up by a special rickshaw and taken – complete with shopping bags – to The Light for a relaxing retreat.
The Alpine Lodge will be at The Light until December 11, so make sure you head on down to get your Christmas fix.
