Launching in Lockdown

How we launched The Lexington in partnership with Maray Restaurant

A room full of guests, cocktails and delicious food; lockdown didn’t put a stop to us launching Moda The Lexington with a showstopping virtual event complete with a gin tasting with Liverpool Gin and cook-along with the infamous Maray restaurant.

We were briefed to launch the brand with a digital event that rivalled a traditional in-person press moment. As a brand who pride themselves on creating a community, Moda Living have hosted an extensive list of virtual events during lockdown at their Angel Gardens development in Manchester. Taking this model, we saw an opportunity to show press what was to come for residents in Liverpool pulling together some of the most popular elements of the resident events to give Liverpool a glimpse of the Moda life.

A drinks reception kicked-off the event with guests treated to a limited-edition cocktail from Liverpool Gin Distillery, ‘The Lexington Martini’. The cocktail ingredients - including American Eagle Bourbon and Liverpool Gin -were inspired by Liverpool’s ties with New York City, something that can be seen throughout the maritime-inspired interiors within The Lexington.

Next, a briefing from Moda’s founder, Oscar Brooks, and marketing manager Lydia Eustace with a short introduction to the brand. A VR walkthrough then took guests on a journey through the stunning reception and up to the showstopping seventh floor for a look around the Sky Lounge, private dining room, cinema, roof top gym and terrace – complete with views over the Mersey.

After a brand introduction it was time for dinner. Working with one of Liverpool’s most famous independent venues, Maray, a bespoke at-home cook-along box was created for attendees. The box, which was unique to any that guests could currently order from the restaurant, included a number of Maray’s popular small plates including the famous Disco Cauliflower. Moda dialled guests in live to the Maray kitchen where James Bates and Johnathan Kelly, the brands founder and head chef, took guests through a step-by-step cook-along helping them prepare a restaurant style dinner.

Moda The Lexington will open its doors to residents in August. Those looking to move into Moda The Lexington can register here for priority booking.
