Celebrated music photographer and long-standing official photographer of the Arctic Monkeys, Richard Kelly, partnered with our client, Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, for a new exhibition. The collection was set to showcase never before seen shots of Amy Winehouse, Florence and the Machine and many more music legends, as well as up and coming Northern talent.
Carousel was tasked with launching the show with a bang, ensuring all key media and influencers in Manchester and beyond were talking about it on the opening weekend. To achieve this, the team utilised its extensive media and influencer relationships as well as its black book of Manchester VIPs, issuing exclusive preview invites in the weeks before launch, as well as booking interviews with the artist himself at the iconic Kimpton Clocktower Hotel.
A total of 150 guests attended the invite-only launch night at The Refuge at Kimpton Clocktower, with extensive social coverage on the night of the event. In the first few days after launch, the team secured 15 media pieces, with a reach of over 151m. Coverage highlights included BBC news, BBC Radio Manchester, Manchester’s Finest, I Love Manchester and Secret Manchester - with lots more still to come.
