Jennie Mcalpine Launches Exciting New Venture

Corrie actress Jennie and long term partner Chris Farr, an experienced restaurant manager, will be opening the new restaurant in the city centre in Autumn 2012. Situated on Old Bank Street, off St Anne’s Square, Annies will cater forlunches, evening service and private functions, as well as pre and post theatre menus for the neighbouring Royal Exchange.

The new restaurant will be housed in what used to be known as Bar 5 and prior to that The Conservatory. Having been closed for several years, a major refurbishment programme is now underway.

Commented Jennie: “I am so excited to be working with Chris on this new venture. We hope to create a space that will deliver on style, with all the comforts of home. It’s going to be a busy summer with filming commitments and the refurbishment but we have a great team in place to help make it all happen.”
