International Women’s Day Campaigns

International Women’s Day is a day dedicated to recognising the amazing contributions of women to society. It’s about lifting up their stories, celebrating how far we’ve come, and acknowledging that there’s still work to do when it comes to equality.

We marked the day with a series of events across a number of our clients from empowering panel talks, to illustrations of local women told across Europe’s largest digital ceiling.

METQUARTER

To celebrate International Women’s Day at Metquarter in Liverpool we hosted an event at the Everyman Cinema showcasing some of City’s most creative and talented women..

The evening opened with a panel talk and Q&A hosted by Gemma Cutting and featuring renowned Liverpool based fashion designer Kirsty Doyle and fashion creative and founder of All Over The Shop, Bethan Flannagan. The pair discussed many topics, including working in the fashion industry, how they got to where they are today and their creative processes. The panel talk and Q&A was followed by a screening of critically acclaimed film, The Last Show Girl.

A percentage of ticket sales from the evening were donated to SWACA, a Liverpool based charity committed to safeguarding women, young people and children.

Coverage was secured across social media and placed in regional titles including The Guide Online, Liverpool BID and across influencer channels from the likes of Fikky Pearl and Hayley Margot resulting in 17 pieces of coverage and a reach of over 1 million.

PRINTWORKS

Working with Printworks Manchester, we collaborated with Manchester artist Laura Frances Heitzman who identified seven local women across the city to illustrate and tell their stories. The final empowering illustrations were featured on Europe’s largest digital ceiling in Printworks for four days in March. To amplify the content, we also hosted an event on International Women’s Day which included an all-female Makers Market.

Coverage was secured across broadcast and regional media including hits on ITV Granada, BBC Radio Manchester and Manchester Evening News with a total of 17 pieces and reach of 29.3m.

KIMPTON CLOCKTOWER HOTEL

The Refuge at Kimpton Clocktower Hotel hosted a free, all-day celebration, which the team supported with press and influencer outreach.

The event featured a talented, women-led DJ lineup, including sets from Laura Weaver, Nicola Bear, Una Lee, and SEZBENNY, creating an energetic and vibrant atmosphere throughout the day.

In addition, the venue’s indoor street area was transformed into a bustling Maker's Market showcasing a variety of local, women-owned brands. The market provided a fantastic platform for independent entrepreneurs to share their work with the community, adding to the event’s lively and inclusive spirit.

The team secured 7 pieces of regional coverage across Manchester Evening News, Manchester’s Finest and Secret Manchester with a combined reach of 14 million.
