Plethora of Welsh Acts to join Beck and London Grammar at No.6 2014

Geraint Jarman, Matt Berry, Yr Ods, Laetitia Sadier (Stereolab), Cian Ciarán , Edan (U.S), Andy Votel, Gwenno, Candelas, Sŵnami, H.Hawkline, Jane Weaver, Nyth DJs and many more announcements confirmed for the Welsh and international stage.

The critically acclaimed Festival No.6 is excited to announce it’s new Welsh and International stage for this year’s festival with many more acts, still to be revealed.

The festival has pulled in the expertise of Welsh music specialists – Huw Stephens and John Rostron from Sŵn Festival based in Cardiff – to offer a bespoke mix of Welsh artists and collaborators. Highlights include music producer, DJ, radio presenter, and musician Gwenno, folk singer Chris Jones, Candelas, Gai Toms, Y Pencadlys, Kizzy Crawford and fresh from touring New York, the Welsh beat-boxer, rapper and producer Ed Holden, aka Mr Phormula.

This year the International Stage is curated and hosted by Andy Votel and Doug Shipton and the Finders Keepers DJs and features a diverse bill comprising Boston based alt rapper and producer Edan, Stereolab vocalist Laetitia Sadier, Lundy Island’s finest H. Hawkline, Plank, Tender Prey, The Wharves and Mancunian chanteuse Jane Weaver. The stage also plays host to an exclusive set from actor, writer, comedian and musician Matt Berry.

Building on the success of last year, Nyth Gwydir will be hosting a collective mix of Welsh and international artists including, singer, songwriter and winner of BBC Radio Wales Best Song of 2013 Casi, Geraint Jarman, Yr Ods, Cian Ciarán – known for twenty, ground-breaking years as the keyboard player and production wizard in the Super Furry Animals, Sŵnami, Plyci and a number of sets by Nyth DJs.

for decades in Wales; a poet, barrier breaker and new music supporter. Yr Ods have played Sŵn many times and are one of Wales’ finest young guitar bands.”
