Afternoon Tea Week at The Municipal Hotel Liverpool – MGallery

To celebrate Afternoon Tea Week (12-18 August) we were tasked to host an iconic afternoon with press and influencers to celebrate The Municipal Hotel Liverpool – MGallery’s Botanic Tea room offering.

The Municipal Hotel Liverpool MGallery hotel opened its doors in May this year, after a successful launch it was time to look at celebrating the food and beverage offerings.

The charming Botanic Tearoom offers an expectational afternoon tea filled with a mixture of sweet and savoury British specialities, including a selection of fresh homemade pastries, cakes and sandwiches that regularly change to reflect the seasons.

All Botanic Tearoom’s scented teas are naturally fragranced with fresh flowers or natural oils to create vivid aromas and timed to perfection using traditional hourglass timers. A full Tea Service menu of specialty tea inspired cocktails are also available to enjoy, alongside a menu of sparkling wines.

We invited down five journalists and five influencers to try the timeless afternoon tea on National Afternoon Tea Week. Guests were welcomed with a beautiful sandwich and cake selection for two and had access to the impressive tea selection.

The proof is in the pudding, we secured 13 pieces of coverage across print, social and online media with a total reach of 3.3M.

We also joined forces with regional food and drink media partner EATPL to host a competition for one lucky winner to win an overnight stay and afternoon tea for two.

The competition was a hit, with more than 700 entrants after running for just six days. The competition also boosted followers for both EATPL and The Municipal Liverpool – MGallery social media accounts.
